London School of Medicine for Women Alumni

The London School of Medicine for Women, founded by Sophia Jex-Blake to train women as doctors, opened its doors on 12 October 1874.

Abbreviated biographies of women who studied at the London School of Medicine for Women in the 19th century with a focus on their 19th but recognising how their training opened doors for them to pursue careers in different fields and add to valuable medical research and work in 20th century.
