Twenty
four hours in the life of an Israeli family in March 2002.
A high-tension drama exploring what happens when an Israeli family crosses Jerusalem during the latest intifada. An impulsive journey provokes disturbing questions about loyalty, personal morality and violence. Varda, a 58 year old estate agent is pulling off a deal. Her son Gideon has to go on reserve in the occupied territories. Both are planning a birthday family lunch on this day when the past seeps into the present. During this 24 hours, Jews, Christian Arabs and Muslim Palestinians interconnect and the result is surprising. |
"This
is the most ambitious attempt to illuminate the world's most intractable
problem since David Hare's 'Via Dolorosa'. Compelling."
